The Ferrari F40 is one of my favorite Ferraris and is the last car commisioned by Enzo himself. He constructed this car for the 40th Anniversary and to show that Ferrari could still make superior supercars (I think he proved it!!). The F40 was to compete with the Porsche 959 and be as close to a race car as possible while still being street legal. The F40 held the title of being the worlds fastest production car between 1987 and '89 at a top speed of 324 km/h (201mph). The owner of a Japanese dealership proved the cars potential reaching the top speed on an expressway. He filmed himself touching the top speed and sold the tapes (unfortunatly for him one he sold to an undercover cop and he got arrested!).
This is the Ferrari FXX, an even more racing orientated version of the Enzo.
This car is very fast with a powerful V12.
This car is even better than the Enzo. Only about 12 or so were made. They needed to get Brembo (A brake company) to make special brakes to cool down the disks and brake pads! This car also has one of Ferrari's fastest shift speeds ever; at under 100 ms !!!!!!!
The Enzo was named after Enzo Ferrari; the person who started Ferrari. It is one of Ferrari's greatest cars and probably the most well known.
Not much else to say about it without making this long and boring. Great car. Enjoy the pictures!
